Watchmen - Adapting The Unadaptable
Published in September 1986, the comic book Watchmen ran for two years as a 12-issue miniseries. The goal of co-creators Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons was that the project would highlight everything the comics medium was capable of that and film, television and literature couldn’t do. This video essay offers a look at Zach Snyder’s 2009 film adaptation of Alan Moore’s self-described “unfilmable” work.
