#101. Jean-Luc Godard and the 60s: Spare Rooms // Les années 60: pièces détachées

Jean-Luc Godard is a man of many faces. In his early beginnings, with his first feature film “Breathless” and all through the 60s until “La Chinoise”, the prolific french filmmaker often crafted long and complex sequences at the inside of apartments. Be it a bedroom, a bathroom, a living room, or all of them, he showed in almost 15 films the intimacy of his characters in a playful and colorful way. In this short video essay, Trois Couleurs takes a look back at these spaces, and how they all connect to each other in what one could call “The spare rooms of Jean-Luc Godard”.
