Pros:
There are lots of bright people at Yahoo. The work culture is very friendly and casual. Company pays well and benefits package is better than most. Lots of projects within the company. Contrary to what an outside may think, Yahoo is not all search. There are many areas to explore and innovation is encouraged. Seating in the company is cubes for all - including managers.
Cons:
Managements decisions from the past are hurting the company. The company seems rudderless and always trying to catch up with the big G. Company should also try to reward good performers. Promotions within the company should be encouraged instead of getting outside hires.

Pros:
Great company with tremendous brand value. Inspite of all the mgmt missteps, I am still proud to be a part of Yahoo.
To work at Yahoo, is to work at a laboratory, where what you do impacts millions of users. There are less than a handful of companies in the world that will get you that kind of audience for your products. That in of itself, is a reason to be here.
Pay, Benefits etc are on par with industry. Slight variation based on how you negotiated when you walked in.
Cons:
Don't want to rehash all the problems that Yahoo has ....others have already done it.
The main problem Yahoo has is that it just does not know itself. Is it an advertising company, a search company or content aggregator. Not sure what it is. Yahoo is an internet portal, the first place a user goes when he/she gets on the internet. Everything else that Yahoo does is only fluff that surrounds this core concept. Carol ... please help Yahoo realize that and move accordingly.
