Pros:
Microsoft is a stable company that (almost) provides you with a job guarantee. It's a big company - so there are lots of places and locations you can move to if you like.
If you get assigned a good project, then there's lots to learn. But if you are in are in some maintenance project, then god help you - it can get boring!
Pay is decent - not the best. Benefits are excellent. Work environment gives enough time to spend with family.
Cons:
Company has been churning out the same old products for years now. There's not much innovation - so things can get boring very soon.

Pros:
Work attire is casual. Great Benefits. Infact, I would go out and say MSFT has the best benefits in the industry. Their health benefits are unusually generous.
Cons:
Microsoft is a behemoth. With time, the elepahnt is moving slower and slower. It recently took me three weeks to get approval for an international trip. Guess what ? The customer aint going to wait for you. Work life balance is a joke. Balance is an oxymmorn. Its just work all the time. Pay is not reflective of the amount of work we need to put in. Senior Management has been in a long slumber. It is through their own missteps that they let Google be what it is today.
