Ten American Companies that have taken a stand against Layoffs
Layoffs numbers are so huge these days that it feels like TARP money. So it is heartening that a few companies have taken a stand against layoffs. They are doing everything they can to avoid layoffs. It does help that these companies are doing well and are in markets that are not feeling the brunt of this GLOBAL DEPRESSION. It also helps to have strong balance sheets that can weather the recession. Time Magazine had a full article on the Ten American Companies that are still holding the fort.

- Visa
- Apple
- Altria – maker of various tobacco products.
- Colgate
- Verizon
- Amgen
- Corinthian Colleges.

Surprised to see only 10 in the list. If you dig a little deeper, you will see that CISCO has had a number of layoffs this past year. Don’t deserve to be on the list. TIME needs to do their research right.
