How to make money from blogging ?
It is a nice fantasy. Start blogging during off hours, see it take off, quit your job and live happy ever after. With more and more people being laid off, this fantasy has even more appeal. No start up costs and no one to answer to. Well …. before you take that plunge you may want to read this post. Most bloggers, don’t even make coffee money when you factor in the time to takes to create an interesting blog site that thousands of readers might want to read. A chosen few, however, go on to make big bucks. It is not unusual for a problogger to make well into six figures.
The key is to pick a topic that you are really interested in and grow a community around it. With time, if you are really good, you should see some part-time income. Most people make less than $1000 a month from advertising. Not great, but could help pay some bills.
Don’t be afraid of the technology part of it. It is very easy. We use Word Press as our blogging platform, and it took us less than 15 min to install it. Once installed, any normal adult can learn it in less than one hour. Still need help, go to your local library and pick up a book or look to You Tube for tons of “How to” videos. As with all things you never know, you may be just the blogging superstar the world is waiting for.
