Why can’t I find my company in your database ?
We are getting quite a few comments from people who have written to us that they cannot find a company in our database. So we thought we will answer that. We have a worldwide database of more than 60,000 companies and we are constantly adding to that database.So there is a good chance that your company is listed here.
However, here are a few things to keep in mind when you can’t find a company you are looking for.
1) The company is a subsidiary and our database would only list the parent company.
For e.g. General Electric is a great example. GE has so many divisions and subsidiaries worldwide, it would be impossible to categorize all of them.
2) The company operates under a different legal name.
For e.g. if you work for the Outback Steakhouse, you will notice that it is owned by OSI Restaurant Partners LLC. Search for it and you will find it in our database.
3) What you think is really not the name of the company.
For e.g., consider the world famous chemical company Du Pont. Its “real name” is E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company. Well, we figure if you work there, you should name the “real name” of the company.
The only exception might be that you work for a new company or for a very small company. In either of these instances, there is a good chance that we don’t have them in our database.
If all else fails, remenber you can always, add your company into our database.
